Delta Flyballl Club is a fast paced sport for both the owners and dogs.
From 2nd October training will be every Sunday (weather permitting) at 9.30am
… see main website for more information
Where possible training will not be cancelled because of competition, this is reliant on a trainer being available and where training takes place outside, the weather conditions.
At Delta Flyball Club we are committed to participating in and promoting the sport of Flyball in a competitive yet harmonious manner, setting an example of team spirit, cohesiveness, and fun both at practice and at tournaments.
The club encourages good sportsmanship, positive training and handling methods, considering the health and welfare of our dogs and other teammate’s dogs, before any personal gratification.
Training methods are structured for all to reach their full potential at Flyball with an emphasis on treating members in a fair and equitable manner. Our club is shaped by its members, their ideals and philosophies, enabling the sport of Flyball to grow and evolve in a fun atmosphere.
We strive to be the best we can be as a team and as individuals, by fulfilling our potential and doing our best. Winning is not the end result, it is a goal we work towards.”

Delta Flyball Club: 1 month, 3 weeks ago · ViewIt’s been another good year for the club. We’ve had some fantastic successes, none more so than our triumph at the British Championships where we proudly brought home the plaque for Divisional Champions of Div 17. Whilst this may seem a long way from Div 1, this was huge for us considering the year before we came last, struggling to complete a run! Div 17 put us in the top third of the divisions and we all had a wonderful 3 days.
As a club we’ve said goodbye to several members who have left for one reason or another, as always we wish them the best of luck with their new clubs and look forward to meeting and racing them next season. We would like to welcome our new members and hope you will be with us for a long time to come and enjoy the Delta experience.
Through the ups and downs of the year we have grown as a club and have come out the other side very much stronger and experienced, in and out of the ring. It’s great to know we have such loyal members. Training on our new Belgium box is going brilliantly and we have another one on order which will be with us in the New Year.
Huge thanks go to Karl Lacey who has not only designed and put together our fantastic website he has also built us a complete set of jumps. Our thanks must also go to Rob Tyler for taking on the lead with training and for giving up his time to go to the Rocket Relay seminar.
Our Open dogs did us all proud this season, below is a list of where they are in the Breed Standings as put together by the British Flyball Association.
Kaia is the top Flat Coat in the Country.

Delta Flyball Club: 2 months, 2 weeks ago · Vieware immensly proud of Rob and the members of Delta Flyers for their 1st place at Dream Team’s competition at Lord Roberts Centre yesterday. All your hard work really paid off and at an indoor event. A massive thank you to Rob for stepping up to the plate and looking after the team whilst Karen, Adrian, Toph and Emma went off and did other things. Couldn’t have left the club in better hands with Rob and the dedicated members of Flyers!

Delta Flyball Club: 3 months ago · Viewwent to look at an indoor venue, very nice. Not keen on the price though, although have been assured it’s very reasonably priced, that’s the problem when you’re used to have something for free, to start paying is a shock. Will have to give it some thought before making such a large commitment. Not sure the farmer’s going to be ready for the noise we’re gonna make so if we do go for it, it will be a trial on both sides.

Delta Flyball Club: 3 months ago · Viewbrilliant training this morning, we used our new box jumps, they are much better than the others we had. These are fit for purpose and professionally made. Thanks to Rocket Relay seminar for highlighting the correct ones. Loads of practice now to get ready for the competition season in the Spring

Delta Flyball Club: 3 months, 3 weeks ago · Viewexcellent training this morning on the new box. Poor Rob didn’t have a chance to breath this morning with all the questions about his training last weekend, we all wanted to know everything in one go and almost forgot that we had dogs to train. Hopefully Adrian and I will get some time with him this week or next weekend to go through it all. Perhaps once the cold and flu germs have flown

Delta Flyball Club: 3 months, 4 weeks ago · ViewAre there indoor events in the winter months or just training?
Hi,
There are some indoor shows, a winter leage with Barking Mad, we’re entered at, there is 1 a month, I coulnd’t go to the last one as had a purst pipe the night before so was waiting for a plumber..
I did last weekend though go to an obidience show at Newark Showground, Tizzy’s dad is an Obidience Champion and is regularly at Crufts, he’s just recovering from spinal surgery with the bionic vet, but the lady also has 3 others she works and is bringing on, I spoke to all of them about the food and took the samples with me and some took some to try.
There wasn’t any food people there at all it seemed, very different to agility shows, no trade stands promoting food either. So could be a good opportunity to get into that sector to.
SamHi Graham, there are a handful of indoor competitions over the winter. We don’t enter too many of them as they are usually hard to get in to. We are trying to enter one in Woking on the 3rd December. We won’t know for a month whether we’ve been successful. For us indoor competing is very different than outdoor and some of the dogs don’t cope well with it.
We are trying to find somewhere to train indoors during the winter then we aren’t hampered by the weather!

Delta Flyball Club: 4 months, 1 week ago · ViewHopefully we’ll be able to enter the Dream Team competition at Woking, all depends on whether the new box arrives and we can get some practice with it. Can’t wait to see what times we can do with this new box, such an exciting time

Delta Flyball Club: 4 months, 1 week ago · ViewTraining is on Sundays at 9.30am. We’re looking forward to receiving our new box which we are lucky enough to be getting from Belgium via APF. Once it arrives we can really concentrate on our box turns which will really help speed the dogs up and enhance training and racing. Unfortunately the current box is really the wrong design so we’re a bit hampered in training. Fingers crossed the new one arrives soon.
